Predicting the 2020 NFL All-Pro Team
NFL Second-Team All-Pro Defense
Cornerbacks
Marcus Peters, Baltimore Ravens
Patrick Peterson, Arizona Cardinals
The cornerback position is loaded across the league with superstars, so picking your best is more of a reflection of how you feel about the teams than anything. Peters seemed to finally find a place to be comfortable in 2019 with Baltimore, and he’ll continue to play at a top-10 level as a result.
Peterson is still one of the best in the league, so while he’s not as good as he once was, he’s still plenty capable.
2019 Honorees: Richard Sherman, San Francisco 49ers; Marcus Peters, Baltimore Ravens
Safeties
Jamal Adams, New York Jets
Derwin James, Los Angeles Chargers
Adams may be trying to do too much to prove he deserves the mega-deal, and the trade, that he desires. But, even still, he remains one of the top safeties in football, and is probably the most talented of the group.
James was a First-Team All-Pro safety as a rookie in 2018, and while injuries cost him all but five games in ’19, we should expect a fully healthy James will return to form in 2020.
2019 Honorees: Justin Simmons, Denver Broncos; Tyrann Mathieu, Kansas City Chiefs
