2020 NFL power rankings: Chiefs, Ravens are the favorites
4. NFL Power Rankings: San Francisco 49ers
There is always concern about a Super Bowl hangover, but this year’s edition could be extreme since the 49ers haven’t even been able to set foot in their facility since their loss to Kansas City in Super Bowl LIV. This unusual offseason could also serve as a benefit since the players have had more time away to get their mind focused for another run at the Lombardi Trophy.
The big question hanging over the 49ers right now is whether or not Jimmy Garoppolo can make enough plays to win in the big games. San Francisco notably hid Garoppolo in the NFC playoffs but got exposed in the Super Bowl when key mistakes from their quarterback hindered a chance at a comeback.
3. NFL Power Rankings: New Orleans Saints
Simply put, this is the most complete team in the NFC right now. The Saints have been a top team in the conference for the past three years but have failed to reach the Super Bowl thanks to varying degrees of bad luck and misfortune in the postseason.
There is an added sense of desperation for the Saints since this could well be the final year that Drew Brees plays in the NFL. Expect New Orleans to rise to the occasion and make yet another run at the Super Bowl despite playing in one of the league’s toughest divisions.
