2020 NFL power rankings: Chiefs, Ravens are the favorites
24. NFL Power Rankings: Cleveland Browns
After being regarded as a potential Super Bowl team in 2019 the hype train has slowed considerably for the Browns. That is probably a good thing for new head coach Kevin Stefanski, who can work on building a culture capable of developing Cleveland into a consistent winner.
The offseason saw the Browns make significant improvements in the trenches, including the signing of Jack Conklin in free agency and the selection of Jedrick Wills in the draft to bolster the tackle position. Better protection could help Baker Mayfield live up to the hype he created in his rookie year and put the Browns in position to make a run at a wild card berth in the AFC.
23. NFL Power Rankings: Arizona Cardinals
Their division is brutal but Arizona is clearly a team on the rise. After absolutely stealing DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans (and dumping David Johnson’s bad contract to boot), the Cardinals also landed one of the draft’s most intriguing prospects in Isaiah Simmons.
The addition of Hopkins, along with a full year from fantasy football league winner Kenyan Drake, should help Kyler Murray continue to improve in his sophomore season. Arizona may be a year away in a tough NFC West but this team could be a major factor in the NFC playoff race by pulling some big upsets down the stretch.
