7. Notre Dame Fighting Irish 2018 Shamrock Series Alternate

Notice to Notre Dame, if you are not rocking the traditional hand-painted gold helmets you will automatically qualify to be on any future uniform disaster list. And they have done this a lot and it is really starting to become more annoying than a sight for sore eyes.

Just like the Michigan Wolverines, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a brand that is recognized by their one-of-a-kind helmet but for some reason, the Irish try to go above and beyond and wear alternate uniforms. Just like Alabama, just like Penn State and just like Texas, leave it alone. Do not do anything special, you have a great and traditional look that has nothing wrong with it.

So the next time you are playing in a neutral site game inside a baseball stadium, please do not try and dress like the team that plays there, especially when it is the Yankees, who arguably one of the most teams in sports.

I’ll be honest, the pants by themselves are not an issue as the pinstripe pants look is a good look-but for a baseball team. Then there are the added pinstripes to the bottom of the sleeves that look awkward and the skinny scripted “Notre Dame” along the chest that looks like even the Irish were embarrassed to wear these. But it’s the helmet that is over the top. You can point out every detail wrong with the helmet, but if it is not gold and was not painted in the days leading up to the game, it is not Notre Dame.
