After ending his third season by being named the Super Bowl LIV MVP en route to leading his team to its’ first Lombardi Trophy in 50 years, there is not a whole lot left to accomplish for Mahomes.

But in case you’re not sure, also consider his 2018 season (his first as a starter) was only the third 50-touchdown, 5,000-yard passing season in NFL history.

In 2018, the former Texas Tech Red Raider threw interceptions on 2.1% of pass attempts (12 total). However, in 2019 that percentage dropped all the way down to 1.0%, the second-best in the league (behind Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers).

In just two seasons as a starting quarterback in the NFL, Mahomes has already won a league MVP award,  Super Bowl MVP award, a title, and signed the richest contract in sports’ history. There is no denying Mahomes is the best player in the NFL – and he’s still ascending as an athlete and a quarterback.

Finally, rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire could be the key to unlocking Mahomes’ next level. If it is – the rest of the league is in trouble.
