10 most underrated NFL players going into 2020
3. Matthew Stafford
Stafford is already a well-known player, but the injury he suffered in 2019 seems to have caused people to forget just how good he can be. When his body is right, he has the ability to match almost every signal-caller in the NFL in terms of arm strength and accuracy.

It may feel like Stafford has been in the league forever, but he’s still just 32-years-old. He’s got plenty of productive years left ahead of him. That’s a big reason why the Lions believe they have a chance to return to the postseason in 2020. If Stafford stays healthy they have an offense that can score a ton of points.
After all, there aren’t many quarterbacks in the game who can say they’ve thrown for over 4,000 yards in seven separate seasons. Stafford has been both prolific and efficient throughout his career. He may not be the most exciting guy to watch throw, but it’s impossible to argue with his results.
Stafford doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Patrick Mahomes, but he deserves a spot in the next tier of NFL quarterbacks. Top 10 players at his position generally get more love than he’s receiving at the moment.
