1. Florida bold predictions: A major mistake leads to a loss vs. Georgia

This one might hurt the most. The Florida Gators dominated the Florida-Georgia rivalry for most of the 90s and early 2000s. They only lost three matchups between 1990 and 2010. This rivalry looks one-sided for a long time, but it looks a lot different now.

The Gators have lost to the Bulldogs three times in a row. They’ve been mostly not close, but the Gators are gaining ground. Last season, the Bulldogs needed a 52-yard touchdown with 10 minutes left in the game from Jake Fromm to seal it. This season, the heartbreak will grow deeper. Georgia is ripe for the picking, having to replace big stars across most of their important positions including the quarterback. While Florida is bringing back Trask, Georgia will attempt to make Newman a star.

The two teams are still set to play in Jacksonville on Halloween. It’s going to be a frightful night for Florida because they will be ahead for most of the game only to fail when it matters the most. We’re not sure exactly how it’s going to happen, but it’s going to happen.

It could be DJ Daniel picking off Trask and taking it to the house to put the Bulldogs up by 10. Maybe it’s a strip-sack while the Gators are driving with just two minutes left. Or, it could just be a massive coaching mistake that has us all scratching our heads. It’s hard to predict heartbreak. That’s why it breaks your heart, however, if Florida fans can prepare for it, then it will lessen the blow.
