NFL power rankings: Which NFC quarterback is best?
1. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Russell Wilson is the best quarterback in the NFC. In 2019, en route to his sixth Pro Bowl appearance in eight seasons, Wilson threw for over 4,100 yards, 31 touchdowns and only five interceptions.
Wilson did it all despite being sacked an average of three times per game, and seeing a once-vaunted rushing attack become non-existent.
The scary part is this – Wilson, at 31 years old, is still getting better. He’s never missed a game, starting 143 straight games including the playoffs.
The biggest thing separating Wilson from Rodgers, besides age, is the supporting casts. While the Packers have struggled to put weapons around Rodgers, the Seahawks built a terrific team. Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny are a good backfield duo, and there are few wide receiver tandems in the league better than D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
This offseason, the team added tight end Greg Olsen to the roster to fill a void on the roster the team plugged with a patchwork a season ago.
The league is in a great spot with quarterbacks – multiple future Hall Famers rounding out their illustrious careers, and several young guns who are beginning their ascent into greatness.
Right in the middle of those two generations is Russell Wilson – the best quarterback in the NFC.
