Wide Receiver. 21. 55. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Minnesota. Rashod Bateman. player

The Steelers have a serious problem at the wide receiver position.

Outside of JuJu Smith-Schuster, the team has little in the way of legitimate threats, and the fourth year pro has struggled to stay on the field, missing six games in just three seasons thus far. And when he’s out the lineup, the offense is incredibly limited.

So, if the Steelers are going to try to make one more run at the Super Bowl before long time quarterback Ben Roethlisberger retires, giving him more offensive weapons will be imperative.

As such, drafting Minnesota wide receiver Rashod Bateman makes a great deal of sense for head coach Mike Tomlin and Co. Bateman is 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, which makes him taller and bigger than most NFL cornerbacks. That size allows him to maximize his talents, particularly as a route-runner, against man coverage. This is an excellent compliment to the Pittsburgh offense.

Seth Williams. 22. player. 35. Scouting Report. Wide Receiver. Auburn. Pick Analysis

Like the Steelers, the Titans have little in the way of pass-catching threats after A.J. Brown. Now that the team has locked up both quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry long term, getting a complimentary receiving piece may be the biggest need on the offensive side of the ball.

With a defense that’s proven to be capable of competing for the AFC crown, the offense should be the focal point.

The Titans should enter the 2021 Draft intent on drafting whomever the best wide receiver on the board is. In this mock, that’s Auburn’s Seth Williams. Williams is a large, pass-catching phenom at 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds. He’s strong, and uses his size and arms for leverage when getting pressed, and to high point the ball in coverage.
