Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Penn State. Tight End. Patrick Freiermuth. 25. player. 49

Another team that should be looking for an offensive weapon early is the Green Bay Packers. Of course, the same could have been said entering the 2020 draft, and the team drafted quarterback Jordan Love to sit behind future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.

But, if they forgo the opportunity again, the former Super Bowl MVP may blow a gasket.

So, Green Bay takes a pass-catcher in tight end Pat Freiermuth of Penn State. The Nittany Lion standout is considered by some to be the top tight end in the draft. Freiermuth is 6-foot-5 and 249 pounds. He’s a legitimate receiving threat who can also block in the run game – and a perfect fit in Green Bay.

Scouting Report. Jamie Newman. 46. Pick Analysis. Quarterback. Georgia. 26. player

When they signed veteran quarterback Philip Rivers in March, the Colts made it clear they do not believe in Jacoby Brissett as the team’s long-term plan at the position.

As such, finding a quarterback of the future should be at the top of the (otherwise very young) team’s agenda – because this team is ready to compete as is.

In this draft, Jamie Newman from (now) Georgia is the best quarterback on the board for general manager Chris Ballard to consider. Newman is transferring to the SEC powerhouse Bulldogs for the 2020 season after playing for Wake Forest for three years.

We think Newman will beat out J.T. Daniels for the starting job and if he does, he’s a first-round pick in 2021. At 6-foot-4 and 229 pounds, Newman is a big, strong-armed quarterback with all the tools to develop into a good starter.
