As Washington undergoes a rebranding of its organization from a naming and aesthetics standpoint, they’re also undergoing a rebranding on the field.

Fortunately for new head coach Ron Rivera and the franchise, they’ve got their quarterback of the future in second-year man Dwayne Haskins.

After the 2020 draft saw the team invest its first-round pick on a defensive cornerstone in Chase Young, look for it to do the same thing on the offensive line in 2021.

Enter the best tackle in college football, Texas’ Sam Cosmi. The Longhorn is big, strong and athletic enough that he’s an early favorite to win the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top lineman. He’ll fit in well on a line building to protect its’ young weapons, a smart play in the nation’s capitol.

Penei Sewell. 4. Scouting Report. Offensive Tackle. Oregon. 13. Pick Analysis. player

After selecting their quarterback of the future in Justin Herbert, the Chargers will give him ample opportunity to succeed. Assuming they have the pieces in place on offense, the next important move is to ensure that you have a left tackle in place who can protect your franchise’s largest investment.

Enter Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell. The 6-foot-4, 320-pound wall is a perfect fit on the line and provides not only run-blocking, but also gives the team much-needed pass protection as they try to nurture Herbert into a quality starting quarterback.
