The Los Angeles Dodgers will take on the San Francisco Giants tonight.

The unusual 2020 MLB season will kick off with a pair of familiar faces going at it, as Dave Roberts and the Los Angeles Dodgers will renew one of the game’s oldest and most vitriolic rivalries as they take on Gabe Kapler and the San Francisco Giants in the second game on ESPN’s Opening Day slate.

The Dodgers dominated the division last year after going 106-56, while the Giants had to scrap out a 77-85 record that some considered to be surprisingly good.

The two NL West foes will square off at 10:08 p.m. ET (7:08 p.m. PT) at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The game will be broadcast on ESPN, with live streams available on the ESPN app.You can also find streaming info on Reddit although not all streams will be available in all areas.

The Dodgers and Giants will do battle just as LA is fresh off signing Mookie Betts to an absurd 12-year extension. If the superstar, who the Dodgers acquired from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Alex Verdugo and Jeter Downs, plays out the full length of his contract, he will be a Dodger until he turns 40.

The Giants appear in for a rebuilding season as Kapler takes over for Bruce Bochy. One of the few bright spots in the lineup is outfielder Mike Yastrzemski. Fresh off hitting 21 home runs as a rookie, look for him to carry a Giants offense that might struggle to consistently put crooked numbers up on the scoreboard.

Even if these two teams are trending in opposite directions, anything is possible in this unusual 60-game season. Even without fans in the stands to cheer the Dodgers on, the bad blood between these two will still run hot.
