142. . Guard. Washington Wizards. Kira Lewis. 9. player

The Wizards are going to learn a lot about the usefulness of the non-Bradley Beal and non-John Wall portions of the roster over the next few weeks in the NBA’s Orlando restart. Players like Troy Brown Jr. and Rui Hachimura will be carrying a huge offensive load and how successful they will be instructive for figuring out the most pressing areas of need in the upcoming draft. It seems likely that the Wizards could use more help in the frontcourt, particularly with big-man upside, but there just isn’t a ton of that in this class, particularly in this area of the lottery.

Lewis is a lightning-quick point guard with impressive handle and vision. His upside is probably tied to his pull-up shooting but there are solid indicators and if he can add functional strength he could be a high-level starter at some point. He’s a bit redundant on the roster with Beal and Wall but could be exciting as a third guard and at this point, he may be the best player available. Considering the likelihood that the Wizards are headed towards some sort of rebuild, they’re probably better off with Lewis than reaching to try and fill a frontcourt need.
