8. The Green Bay Packers will not win the NFC North

While we believe that Aaron Rodgers is a future Hall of Fame quarterback who still possesses more talent than nearly any other quarterback in the league, we’re not believers in the rest of this team. And, we are absolutely buying that the rift created by the team using their first-round pick on quarterback Jordan Love will have a massive impact on the team’s chemistry and performance. The Packers, who just a few months ago were battling for the NFC Championship in San Francisco, are going to be a worse team in 2020.

Why? For starters, the team’s only offensive upgrade of merit was second-round pick AJ Dillon, but with Aaron Jones already featured at running back for the team, and Jamal Williams a more than capable number two, the team simply added depth to a position where it was not needed. The team did nothing to upgrade the wide receiving corps, which was abysmal a year ago after losing star Davante Adams for much of the season to injury. The team also lost its’ top tight end, Jimmy Graham, to the rival Chicago Bears.

We are not ready to commit to which NFC North team takes the crown in 2020. Could the Minnesota Vikings finally put it all together with quarterback Kirk Cousins and make a run at the title? Do the Chicago Bears and head coach Matt Nagy turn to veteran Nick Foles early enough in the season to avoid on Mitch Trubisky train wreck?

We’re not here to speculate on which of those two may happen (or both?), but we are confident in saying that one of them will, and the Packers will lose the North as a result.
