DraftKings MLB Stack Options:

Boston Red Sox vs. Alex Cobb:

I’m not totally all-in on this because Cobb looked sharp in both spring and the summer restart against his own team. Of course, everyone looks sharp against the Orioles. That said, Boston has crushed Cobb. They are hitting .331 with three homers and 15 runs against him in 157 at bats. J.D. Martinez, Kevin Pillar, and Moreland have the homers. Benintendi has four RBI and is leading off at a low price. Jose Peraza is another intriguing cheap piece if you are paying up for other bats.

Chicago Cubs vs. Corbin Burnes:

The Cubbies put up seven runs in 6.2 innings on Burnes last year with three homers. He wasn’t any better than that before last year. Victor Caratini, Heyward, Schwarber, Albert Almora, and Javy Baez have all slugged homers off of Burnes. It’s a small sample, but the Cubs are 10-33 with five homers and eight runs against Burnes. This looks like another place to attack.

Minnesota Twins vs. Dallas Keuchel:

Okay, it’s mainly two guys that have blasted Keuchel, but the soft-tossing lefty could be in real trouble against this team. Nelson Cruz already has five homers against Keuchel in 45 career at bats. Josh Donaldson has a homer and three RBI. Miguel Sano, Mitch Garver, and Jorge Polanco have more than enough power to take Keuchel out. He allowed multiple homers in three of his last five starts last year.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Trevor Williams:

The poor Pirates pitching staff has been clobbered by the Redbirds for whatever reason. They are hitting .321 in 131 at bats with five homers and 20 runs against Williams. Matt Carpenter has three of the homers and six RBI against Williams. Wieters and Paul DeJong have the other homers and six more RBI between them. Yadi Molina, Dexter Fowler, and Kolten Wong are all hitting well against him too despite the lack of counting stats.

Houston Astros vs. Taijuan Walker:

How much did the trash can tambourine contribute to this? Who knows, but the Astros have just clobbered Walker. They are hitting .337 with five homers and 13 runs in only 83 at bats. Reddick has two of the homers, and he’s criminally underpriced still on DraftKings. Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, and George Springer have the other homers. This Astros stack gets pricy, but there’s plenty of value pitchers and Reddick to fill in the blanks.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Kevin Gasuman:

The Dodgers tagged Gausman for five runs in 4.1 innings last year. I haven’t really seen anything to suggest that Gausman is that much better. The righties are the way to go here. Gausman has some nasty reverse splits with righties hitting 16 more homers against him in only 135 less at bats. Kike, Chris Taylor, and Will Smith could be sneaky here to sprinkle in with the Bellinger/Seager/Muncy core.
