DraftKings MLB Stack Options:

Miami Marlins vs. Vince Velasquez:

The Marlins have owned Velasquez. They are hitting .324 against him in 74 at bats with four homers and a staggering 20 runs. Brian Anderson has two of the homers. Isan Diaz and Harold Ramirez have the others. Jesus Aguilar has hit him well and is off to a hot start. I love this as a three or four man stack to compliment your main one and save some cash.

Washington Nationals vs. Yankees bullpen:

How good is the Yankees bullpen? We’re going to find out as they roll out a bullpen game in place of Tanaka…..one day after Paxton lasted just one inning. There is an expanded roster, but no one is really stretched out enough to eat more than three innings or so. This could backfire considering the strength of this pitching staff, but this is a good leverage spot. If you attack this, go with Turner, Adam Eaton, and Kendrick. Use the top of the order here.

Detroit Tigers vs. Trevor Bauer:

First off, I think Bauer is a touch overpriced and the Tigers are very familiar with him from his years in Cleveland. Besides, this is a massive leverage spot. Bauer racked up the strikeouts last year against the Tigers, but he did have a 4.26 ERA against them in four starts and gave up six homers. He also has a 4.73 ERA in seven career starts in his new home park. Niko Goodrum had two of those. Harold Castro, Christin Stewart, and Miggy have also homered off of Bauer. Strikeouts don’t count against you in DFS, so I’m taking a couple of shots at Bauer here.

Cleveland Indians vs. Mike Montgomery:

This has not been a great start offensively for the Tribe, but that could be rectified here. They faced Montgomery twice last year after he was traded to the Royals. They picked up six runs in just seven innings off of him. Lefties smash Montgomery. They hit .452 against him last year. You can literally use anyone in this lineup today. The 8.19 road ERA for Montgomery last year proves that.

Boston Red Sox vs. Wade LeBlanc:

A soft-tossing lefty against J.D. Martinez, Xander, and the red-hot Jose Peraza? Yes please! Martinez in particular has crushed LeBlanc. Even if you aren’t running a Boston stack, you need a lot of exposure to him. This is going to be a very popular stack, but Martinez is a must. Get your leverage somewhere else.

Minnesota Twins vs. Reynaldo Lopez:

The Twins have absolutely destroyed Lopez in his career. Even when he started to figure things out last year, the Twins still hammered him. They are hitting .273 in 110 at bats with seven homers and a staggering 24 runs. This is a BvP gold mine! Donaldson, Nelson Cruz, Ehire Adrianza, Miguel Sano, and Eddie Rosario all have homers off of Lopez. Max Kepler has two. Mitch Garver hasn’t homered off of him yet, but is 4-7 in his career.
