DraftKings MLB one-off picks:

BvP is one of the most polarizing things among statheads, especially when it comes to daily fantasy games. What it means is going by a batter’s past stats against the night’s pitcher. This can be the best place for mining one-off plays to differentiate your lineups though.

Yoshi Tsutsugo only has one major league hit so far, but it is a home run. And he’s cheap and bats cleanup. He’s a strong one-off against what may mostly be a bullpen game for the Braves.

Francisco Lindor hit the homer against Dylan Cease last year. Considering how the Indians have looked so far, he is about the only one I want tonight unless rain is forecast early enough in the game that they wont face Cease more than once.

James McCann slugged a three run homer against Aaron Civale last year, but he may not start. Not to worry, both Leury Garcia and Yoan Moncada had two hits against Civale in that game last year as well.

I have zero interest in stacking a team as weak offensively as the Tigers, but it is worth noting that both C.J. Cron and Jordy Mercer have homered off of Mike Montgomery if you need a cheap play.

I will have pieces of Marlins and Orioles because I’m not sold on either pitcher. It’s hard to full stack either of those though considering both have shown flashes of being good pitchers.

The Red Sox didn’t look all that good against bad Orioles pitching. Rafael Devers is about the only one I’m interested in against Wacha (Wacha Wacha).

If you can stomach using Mets hitters that only scored five runs in the opening series against the Braves, this may be the time to do it.

Matt Adams ($3,400) vs. Tyler Glasnow: 4-7(.571), 2B, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI
Andrew McCutchen ($4,200) vs. J.A. Happ: 12-28(.429), 4 HR, 7 R, 6 RBI, SB, 2 BB
Kevin Newman ($3,600) vs. Adrian Houser: 2-2, 1 BB, HR, 3 RBI
Christian Yelich ($5,900) vs. Steven Brault: 4-11(.364), 2 BB, 2B, HR, RBI
Jose Altuve ($5,000) vs. Kendall Graveman: 9-25(.360), 2 2B, HR, 4 R, 3 SB, 3 RBI

I will be running Reds stacks across the board with others sprinkled in. For all the games today, this is a pretty simple slate.
