Ahmari Harvey. S. 2. player. 804. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Florida State University School (Tallahassee, FL)

It looks Florida State could potentially land two four-star safeties with Tallahassee roots. We already touched on Terrion Arnold at John Paul II Catholic High School. Now, let’s talk a little bit about Ahmari Harvey from the Florida State University School. Harvey is the No. 8 safety in the country, the No. 28 player from Florida and the No. 178 player overall in the 2021 cycle.

While he has 20 official offers, Harvey is looking at playing for one of these four Power 5 teams: The Auburn Tigers, the Florida Gators, Florida State and the Texas A&M Aggies. Though he could play for either SEC West team in Auburn or Texas A&M, it seems that Harvey is more likely to stay in-state and play in the Sunshine State Showdown, either for Florida or Florida State.

Harvey’s primary recruiter to Florida State is defensive coordinator Adam Fuller. He has landed the ‘Noles a pair of four-star recruits in this cycle already in cornerback Hunter Washington out of Katy, Texas and cornerback Omarion Cooper from Lehigh Acres, Florida. Harvey’s secondary recruiter is defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson, who landed a five-star recruit last year.

Though it would be nice to see Arnold and Harvey both suit up for the Seminoles, it might be a one or the other type of proposition. With Arnold more likely to leave the state than Harvey, look for Mike Norvell’s staff to hone in on Harvey over Arnold if push comes to shove and they can only sign one four-star safety in this recruiting class.
