804. WR. Edna Karr High School (New Orleans, LA). Destyn Pazon. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 1. player

One advantage Mike Norvell has going for him is he’s a great developer of skill position talent. We’ve seen so many former Memphis Tigers get drafted on the offensive side of the ball of late, so look for that trend to hopefully continue now that he’s leading the Florida State program. One player he’d love to have is four-star wide receiver Destyn Pazon from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Pazon is the No. 5 player from Louisiana, the No. 18 wide receiver in his recruiting class and the No. 105 player nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite. He has 21 official offers but is looking to play for one of these five teams: Florida State, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Florida Gators, the LSU Tigers and the Oklahoma Sooners. Florida State is seen as his favorite right now.

David Johnson is serving as Pazon’s primary recruiter to Florida State, with offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kenny Dillingham serving as his secondary. Dillingham was four-star pro-style quarterback Luke Altmeyer‘s primary recruiter ahead of his commitment to play for him and Norvell at Florida State out of Starkville, Mississippi.

Despite having an official offer from LSU, Pazon feels like a sure thing to head to Florida State. All 14 recruiting experts at 247Sports have Pazon heading to Tallahassee to play his college ball. If Pazon were to commit to the ‘Noles, he’d be their second-highest rated recruit after outside linebacker Branden Jennings and ahead of Altmeyer at quarterback. Pazon should be a ‘Nole.
