DeVante Parker – Miami Dolphins

Few are likely to view Parker as being on the same level as New Orleans Saints star Michael Thomas, with whom he engaged in a lively social media spat during the offseason, but the former first-round pick appears to be finally realizing his potential after a breakout year in 2019.

Parker finished the year with 1,202 receiving yards and nine touchdown catches, averaging a gaudy 16.7 yards per reception. He did all this despite playing on a Dolphins team that traded away its best assets and rotated between Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen at quarterback for much of the year.

After investing heavily in free-agent additions and using three first-round picks in the draft, the Dolphins should be much improved in 2020 and, whenever fifth overall pick Tua Tagovailoa is ready to step in, they will have an upgrade at quarterback.

Fitzpatrick is a seasoned veteran who is a serviceable bridge quarterback, but the ceiling of the offense will rise substantially with Tagovailoa under center and Parker is the player who stands to benefit most from the arrival of the former Alabama star.

The touch and ball placement Tagovailoa puts on his deep throws will give Parker the chance to improve on his numbers from his stunning 2019. Parker played at a Pro Bowl level last year and, whenever Tagovailoa steps into the breach, he will have a quarterback capable of helping him post numbers that will be impossible to ignore.
