DraftKings MLB one-off picks:

BvP is one of the most polarizing things among statheads, especially when it comes to daily fantasy games. What it means is going by a batter’s past stats against the night’s pitcher. This can be the best place for mining one-off plays to differentiate your lineups though.

I can’t bring myself to stack struggling Red Sox hitters right now, but Bogaerts and Devers look good today. So does Jose Peraza and Kevin Pillar on the cheap if they bat first and second against the lefty again. I would still limit exposure.

Rick Porcello is a troll and the Braves are struggling some, but Freddie Freeman is an elite play tonight. Matt Adams is worth a look too, but keep it confined to lefties against Porcello.

Strangely enough, Newcomb has an ERA over a run higher at home, a park that favors lefties. I’m on righties here for the Mets though, in particular Alonso and Yoenis Cespedes.

There is no say that Snellzilla is going more than three innings in this game, so be careful trying to stack Orioles. This is primo hitting weather, but the Orioles are going to face a lot more right-handed pitching than left. They’re a complete fade for me.

Randy Dobnak was serviceable against the White Sox before the bullpen imploded in his first start. I don’t mind taking a shot at him with Lindor or Jose Ramirez though as a one-off.

I don’t think we can really stack Texas in a pitcher’s park, but I do love Joey Gallo against Logan Webb for his first two at bats.

The Astros offense isn’t doing enough to warrant a stack, especially when you consider how good Matt Andriese was in his first appearance. However, Michael Brantley is criminally cheap at just $2,800. You’ll need that if you want any shot at Coors bats.

Don’t go nuts chasing after Zac Gallen, but the Dodgers’ left handed power with the amount of walks he issues is very tempting to grab one or two pieces of.

Manaea struggled against the Angels in his first start, so I’ll have some shares of this young Seattle righty power. Kyle Lewis is tops on the list.

Fire up the Matt’s against Taijuan Walker tonight. He won’t be as bad as he was in his first start, but Oakland is good enough to knock him around a little.

Christian Vazquez ($4,800) vs. Jordan Montgomery: 3-4, HR
Freddie Freeman ($5,600) vs. Rick Porcello: 5-11(.455), 3 BB, 3 R, SB, RBI
Whit Merrifield ($4,800) vs. Dallas Keuchel: 6-12, BB, 2B, SB, R, RBI
Wil Myers ($4,600) vs. Jon Gray: 14-37(.378), 3BB, 4 2B, 3 HR, 6 R, 7 RBI, SB
Manny Machado ($5,000): vs. Jon Gray: 6-18, 2 HR, 6 R, 4 RBI, SB
Ehire Adrianza ($2,500) vs. Mike Clevinger: 4-11(.364), 2 2B, HR, 2 RBI
Josh Bell ($4,700) vs. Yu Darvish: 2-7, 2B, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI
Justin Upton ($3,200) vs. Lance McCullers Jr.: 5-12(.417), BB, HR, 2 R, 4 RBI, SB
Kyle Seager ($3,400) vs. Sean Manaea: 6-27(.222), BB, HR, 2 R, 4 RBI

I’m going to be heavy on Schwarber and Wil Myers, but not on Coors. There’s not enough good pitching or punt hitters to make it work.
