Boban Marjanovic is a true unstoppable force
Boban Marjanovic threw down an insane dunk Sunday night.
Boban Marjanovic stands 7-foot-4 and has the ability to make even the most dominant NBA players look like small children. He adds a special dynamic to a Dallas Mavericks squad already featuring great size with Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic.
Marjanovic is just not able to play that long due to his size. He averages under 10 minutes per game throughout his career and played a total of five minutes Friday night against the Houston Rockets. But he is incredibly efficient when on the floor and scored eight points in the first half of Sunday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
One play in particular stood out and it is one in which Ricky Rubio’s life may have flashed before his eyes.

Boban Marjanovic the unstoppable man
There is simply no way to stop him once he gets any momentum going toward the basket. The best move is to just move out of the way, as Rubio did.
Marjanovic looked like he was dunking on a children’s hoop and jumping for the slam was unnecessary, but a nice added touch. He may be a liability defensively at times, but he can provide the easiest field goals ever seen if he creates a bit of space.
The Mavericks entered play Sunday night firmly set in the seventh spot in the Western Conference standings. The team could even rise up several spots and appear to be on a path to victory against the Suns.
Already having clinched a playoff berth will allow the Mavericks to test out different units in preparation for the postseason. That could mean a bit of rest for stars like Doncic and Porzingis and more time on the floor for someone like Marjanovic.
While usually limited to a handful of minutes, he did score 31 points in 31 minutes back on March 11. He played so well the NBA had to go into a hiatus. Now he is back making defenders look foolish and fans will be hoping for another breakout performance from Boban if he is given the chance.
