14. Doug Marrone, Jacksonville Jaguars

Marrone will not be coaching in Jacksonville much longer, barring something really unforeseen. Marrone had that one magical run to the AFC Championship game with Blake Bortles, of all people, as his quarterback, but he has run out of pixie dust, as his Jaguars kicked off a full-on rebuild in 2020.

Even though Gardner Minshew was extremely impressive as a rookie, Jacksonville is expected to contend for the No. 1 overall pick due to the poor offensive line, shambolic defense, and lame-duck coaching staff. Marrone has some positives as a coach, but they will be overshadowed as he leads the Jaguars into what could be a very poor 2020 season.

13. Adam Gase, New York Jets

Gase has become what Jeff Fisher was after Steve McNair left Tennessee. Fisher’s Titans and Rams teams had some of the league’s worst offenses and would rarely push for an above .500 record, but they were never bad enough to get him fired. While Gase did go 7-9 in 2019 with one of the worst offenses, he did so against one of the league’s easiest schedules.

Much like Stefanski, Gase’s job is tied to Sam Darnold. If Joe Douglas fails to see Darnold make the leap in his third season, which is possible given the lack of great receivers, Gase might finally get the boot. Considering his comically inept offenses and inability to relate to star players, there won’t be a ton of players, writers, or Jets fans that will be sad to see him go.
