NBA DFS guard plays

It doesn’t get any easier than this. Start with Harden. He’s on another planet when Russ is out. I love playing him with Ben McLemore, who is still a great value at his price on either site.

Watching Philly last game, I don’t really think they care about defense right now. Someone (or two) is going to have a huge game for Portland. My head says Dame because of yesterday’s debacle, but CJ is the safer guard play. We’ll get to the frontcourt guys later. Oh, and Gary Trent, sharpshooter extraordinaire, is still a lock.

Jrue Holiday is the guy that carried the Pelicans with Zion out. He could be in for a huge night. I think I prefer him over Portland roulette. His ceiling is every bit as high as Lillard’s if this game stays close.

Speaking of high ceilings, anyone going against the Houston defense has it too. The bad news is that the only guy you can really trust on the Kings is De’Aaron Fox. There’s enough value to pile him with Harden on either site, but you’ll likely have to fade the Portland guards and Holiday. It’s a little easier on DraftKings with the Thunder on the slate and position flexibility.

Speaking of the Thunder, take advantage of that game being on DraftKings. A full gamestack is in order against the Wizards, more on the Thunder side. CP3 is great and all, but I think SGA shows up in this one after his worst game of the year last time out.

The Spurs are in a great spot, but Derrick White is the only one you can trust. If you need value, Patty Mills works in a pinch, but his upside is capped. I think we can write off Boston and Toronto. They’re locked into their slots in the East. This is a game the Spurs need.

Reggie Jackson and Ish Smith were the only point guards worth using on their respective teams anyway. Now that their main competitors are out, they are both nice bargains today. Yeah, they’re not under $4,000, but we’ve reached the point in the restart where you can’t get much at that price anymore without significant risk.

Friends don’t let friends use Tyler Johnson. I don’t care if he’s the only guy on the floor. His high water mark in five games of the restart is 23.75 DraftKings points. In one of those games, the Nets were thinner than they are now. Just. Don’t Do. It. If you must use a Nets guard, make it Chris Chiozza. He has at least flashed some upside.

Don’t pay the premium for Shake Milton when you can can get the off-brand Alec Burks at a discount and he’ll provide you the same thing.
