One of the reasons why head coach Jon Gruden was able to functionally name is price and terms for his return to the Raider sideline in 2018 was because of the experience he brings to the table. That experience not only exists within the organization but it also and more prominently manifests itself through the Super Bowl ring that Gruden earned while coaching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Gruden’s experience also exists in taking a team from the bottom of the power rankings to the top — and that is exactly what the organization expected of him when the brought him back into the fold. The former television analyst and renowned quarterback guru is also notoriously hyper-competitive and hates to lose. It feels unlikely that his pride will allow him to continue to coach a losing team, so expecting improvement seems like a bare minimum.

Fortunately, Gruden is a very good coach. And, he knows how to get the most out of the players that he has. He and general manager Mike Mayock are both excellent talent evaluators who have infused this roster with young, ascending talent. This team is going to learn a lot about its’ players over the course of the brutal first stretch of the season. But, that means that by the time they enter Week Seven, the battle-tested unit should be ready to go!

Las Vegas can compete for and win Super Bowl LV and if they do, head coach Jon Gruden will be a big reason why.
