2. WR Josh Gordon

Gordon spent time with the Seahawks last year, totaling seven catches for 139 yards in five games. He was suspended indefinitely again in mid-December, for violating the NFL’s policy drug policies, but he has applied for reinstatement (again) and a decision seems to be coming at some point.

Gordon’s best year is well in the past (87 catches for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns in 2013 for the Browns). But he keeps getting on-field chances due to his lingering potential, and over his time with the New England Patriots (overlapping the 2018 and 2019 seasons) he averaged 16.8 yards per catch. He has apparently stayed living in the Seattle area since last season, deepening the tie to a return to the Seahawks. Still, he has played just 33 games since the start of 2014.

If Gordon can keep himself on the right track off the field, there is still some talent here at 29 years old. As low-risk fliers go, he might be at the top of the list and the Seahawks could use another viable wide receiver if they’ll finally #LetRussCook this year.
