4. Browns halfback Nick Chubb will lead the NFL in rushing yards

This is particularly bold because the Cleveland Browns will also employ the rushing services of Kareem Hunt. The former Chiefs running back missed half of the 2019 season due to suspension for fighting a woman. Hunt’s dynamic abilities mandate utilization in any NFL offense, so he will steal away touches from Chubb.

New head coach Kevin Stefanski joined the Browns by way of the Minnesota Vikings this offseason. The 38-year-old was granted a promotion to top dawg after serving one season as the Vikings offensive coordinator last year. If he learned anything from Minnesota’s head coach Mike Zimmer, it’s how to effectively run the football. The Vikings ran the football 476 times in 2019, the fourth-most in the business.

Nick Chubb will get his carries. He’s entering the absolute prime of his career at age 24. Chubb missed out on the rushing yard coronation ceremony last season to Derrick Henry by 46 yards.

What’s more, quarterback Baker Mayfield had an alarmingly shaky sophomore season in 2019. If Stefanski cannot find an elixir for this in 2020, Chubb will be relied on with more frequency. Or in a doomsday scenario, the team could turn to journeyman Case Keenum.

The constant will be Nick Chubb. He will accrue more yards on the ground the usual suspects: Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott, Dalvin Cook, Chris Carson, etc.
