3 Minnesota Vikings who need to step up in 2020

1. Mike Hughes

Speaking of injuries, Mike Hughes has seen them really impact his career so far. Hughes appeared in just six games as a rookie in 2018 and then in 14 the next year, only starting three of those games.

With a lot of Minnesota’s key cornerback talent off elsewhere, Hughes must stay healthy and step it up considerably in 2020.

The Vikings play in a tough division and have the Packers to contend with when it comes to winning the division. Having good cornerback play is obviously huge when a team plays in the same division as Aaron Rodgers.

Hughes has been a disappointment since being selected 30th overall two years ago, but he has a chance to shine through this year as one of the top cornerback options on the team.

If Mike Hughes, Adam Thielen, and Anthony Barr all can step up and shine in 2020, the Vikings will undoubtedly be a playoff team and better yet, they could win their first ever Super Bowl.
