Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen could become an All-Pro

Allen’s weaknesses as a quarterback are obvious. At times, his inability to make accurate throws from the pocket can make him hard to watch.

It’s still very possible that Allen’s accuracy can take a major step forward if he improves his technique. Imagine a scenario where Allen cleans up his footwork. The Bills could do serious damage if Allen starts completing nearly 70 percent of his passes.

Miami Dolphins: They could have the best secondary in the NFL

The Dolphins are one team that definitely understands that pass defense might be more important than pass rush. The team hopes that Xavien Howard can fully recover from the knee injury that limited him to just five games in 2019.

If he does, he can combine with big-money free agent signing Byron Jones to form one of the best starting cornerback duos in football. Add in rookie Noah Igbinoghene at nickel and Miami could make life really tough on opposing wide receivers.

New England Patriots: Cam Newton can be special

It’s not out of the question to think that New England might get better quarterback play from Newton than they did from Tom Brady last season. That’s not a knock on Brady. It’s just an admission that, when healthy, Newton can be one of the most transcendent players in the league.

Of course, that “when healthy” clause is a weighty one. There’s no certainty that Newton can stay healthy for anything close to a full 16-game season. The Patriots are betting huge on his body to hold up.

New York Jets: The rookies could come up big

The Jets’ chances of winning a Super Bowl are exceedingly small. To make a deep run into the postseason, they’ll need exceptional contributions from their rookie class.

That means Mekhi Becton has to play like a Pro Bowler right away at left tackle. Denzel Mims would need to do the same at wide receiver. Ashtyn Davis performing as an above-average starter at safety would also be a huge boost. The Jets need their rookie class to be great in 2020.
