Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce wore a Flyers jersey under his practice uniform on Friday, supporting his fellow Philadelphia teams ahead of Game 6 against the Montreal Canadiens. The Flyers lead the series 3-2, with a chance to move onto the second round against the New York Islanders.

Kelce is already a folk hero in Philadelphia after his performance at the Eagles’ Super Bowl parade, but Friday’s picture should endear him to fans even more. Fans on Twitter took notice, with the veteran center getting love from Philadelphia natives.

The Flyers took notice on Twitter as well, showing Kelce some love ahead of Friday night’s potentially decisive Game 6.

The Eagles wore light green numbers on their practice jerseys on Friday for autism awareness and plan to auction them off for charity, and Kelce went above and beyond by adding the Flyers jersey. While some fans worried that he may overheat in the 80-degree weather, he clearly felt the need to show his support for Philadelphia’s other pro teams.

The Flyers hold the top seed in the Eastern Conference, and hope to rebound from a Wednesday loss to Montreal to finish off the series and face the Islanders, who knocked out the Washington Capitals earlier in the week.

With Kelce’s support, Philadelphia could find the boost it needs to move on to the next round and continue its pursuit of a Stanley Cup. The Flyers have not won a championship since 1975, and bringing home a title could invigorate a loyal fan base that has waited far too long for another title.
