. Big. Cleveland Cavaliers. Obi Toppin. 5. player. 156

There is a wide spread of opinions on Toppin, with him ranked anywhere from third to 17th, depending on what big board you’re looking at. He is an incredible athlete who can help a team in transition and with vertical spacing in the halfcourt. There is some concern about whether he’s really the outside shooter his college 41.7 3-point percentage implies (it came on just 103 career attempts across two seasons) but there is some pick-and-pop potential. He does not, however, seem to have much potential as a difference-maker at the other end.

There might not be a ton of frontcourt minutes in Cleveland with Andre Drummond, Kevin Love and potentially Tristan Thompson back. But eventually the Cavaliers will need to turn that frontcourt over to younger players and taking another backcourt player here would be admitting a mistake somewhere with the trios of picks they’ve spent on Darius Garland, Collin Sexton and Kevin Porter Jr. over the past two years.
