12. player. 84. . Forward. Sacramento Kings. Deni Avdija

The Kings should be thrilled if Avdija is still available this late — he’s been pegged in the No. 5 – 10 range on a lot of big boards. If here’s here, he wouldn’t just be the best player available, he’d also be an ideal fit.

Avdija is a versatile forward with a very strong defensive profile who can match up with multiple positions and really fill a niche in the Kings’ rotation. His offensive role is complementary — he has some strong playmaking instincts but probably isn’t a good enough shooter to justify working as a primary creation threat. But he’s an excellent passer, should be able to exploit some mismatches and is an extremely smart off-ball cutter. Basically, he can help create space and open shots without taking the ball out of the hands of De’Aaron Fox or Buddy Hield. If the Kings can’t keep Bogdan Bogdanovic this offseason, Avdija could help fill the void making up for the shooting downgrade his defensive upside.
