Phoenix Suns. Kira Lewis. 10. player. 66. . Guard

The Suns are coming off a dynamic run in the NBA bubble that will almost certainly raise expectations but has also helped codify what this young core is and could be. Devin Booker is a star and Deandre Ayton is already well on his way. Mikal Bridges and Kelly Oubre have developed into ideal complements on the wing and Ricky Rubio really helps hold it all together. The problem is that Rubio is a bit older than the rest of their core and is going to be aging out his prime as the rest of this core is coming into it.

There are several point guard prospects who make sense for the Suns in this draft, all guys who could add some life off the bench right away and hopefully grow into a long-term replacement for Rubio. None are necessarily future All-Stars, but the Suns don’t need a star. They need a solid starter who can help Booker and Ayton be their best. Lewis is a lightning-quick point guard with impressive handle and vision. His upside is probably tied to his pull-up shooting but there are solid indicators and if he can add functional strength he could be a high-level starter at some point.
