The Bucks-Magic series got even more heated on Saturday
The Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic kick off the NBA Playoff festivities on Saturday with their Game 3 matchup. With the series tied, both sides are fighting to gain the pivotal 2-1 lead. Well, they got the fighting part right, that’s for sure.
During the second quarter, the Bucks headed down the court with a 54-39 lead. However, the cameras didn’t follow the ensuing possession. Instead Magic forward James Ennis and Milwaukee forward Marvin Williams got in each other’s faces and engaged in a shoving match. With security and coaches intervening, Ennis appeared to have thrown a punch in Williams direction, causing an assistant coach to tumble to the floor.
After being separated, both players were ejected from the contest.
Bucks-Magic chippier than many expected
Upon further review, Ennis didn’t throw hands at Williams’ direction. Rather, he was swiping at Williams’ hand, which had a firm grip on his jersey.
Milwaukee was stunned by the Magic in Game 1 of their first-round series, losing 122-110. The Bucks got their revenge in Game 2 with a 111-96 victory over Orlando.
We will continue to keep you updated on this developing story, and provide details on possible fines and suspensions for Ennis and Williams.
