1. QB Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans

He’s part of the same quarterback class of 2017. Add reigning Super Bowl LIV Most Valuable Player and Kansas City Chiefs’ signal-caller Patrick Mahomes just got paid in a big way. So will the Houston Texans get a new deal done with their multi-talented field general and what kind of numbers could be on the table?

Three years ago, the Houston Texans made a move in the first round and grabbed Clemson University standout and ‘16 national champion signal-caller Deshaun Watson with the 12th overall selection. In two-plus seasons, he’s played in a total of 38 regular-season games and the numbers are impressive.

A solid 66.8 completion percentage, 9,716 yards through the air and more than twice as many TD passes (71) as interceptions (29). He’s also run for 1,233 yards and 14 scores. He’s won championships on the high school and collegiate level so there’s just one more hurdle.

“I’m trying to pull a big three,” explained Watson to Fox 26’s Mark Berman (via Pro Football Talk). “I won a state championship. I won a national championship. So, of course, I’m trying to get a Super Bowl (championship). I’m trying to, of course, be legendary. That’s my words since college. For me to be that, I have to win a Super Bowl and definitely win it with the Houston Texans.”
