Pick Analysis. . Golden State Warriors. 3. player. 41. Scouting Report. Pacific

The Warriors are in unfamiliar territory this offseason, as they have one of the highest picks in the draft after posting the league’s worst record in 2019-20. That slide, however, was due to injuries to both Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, which left newly acquired wing Andrew Wiggins to shoulder most of the scoring load. Wiggins can fill it up, but he seems like a bit of an odd fit in Steve Kerr’s offense. Trading him for Hield would be a perfect move for Golden State should Sacramento get over the thought of trading him to a division rival.

The thought of Curry running point, Hield and Klay on the outside ready to knock down threes if given an inch of space, Draymond Green doing his thing all over the floor, and potential No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman attacking the rim in the paint could be frightening for the rest of the Western Conference. Bob Myers has shown he can be über-aggressive when the moment calls for it, and he’ll need to go for it all once again to secure Hield’s services.
