LeBron James should expect Reese’s to sponsor Space Jam: A New Legacy.

In case you weren’t fully aware, LeBron James is a business, man.

With aspirations to be a future professional sports owner in retirement among many other things, James has amassed an absurd amount of wealth in his illustrious NBA career with three different franchises. He has won championships with the Miami Heat, the Cleveland Cavaliers and on his quest to win his first title as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. However, he’s not perfect.

Despite being one of the greatest basketball players of all time, James has had his issues with male pattern baldness over the years. His hairline might still be on point, but his growing bald spot on the top of his head is proof James is human like the rest of us. He can even laugh about it being compared to when a little bit of a delicious Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup gets stuck to the wrapper.

LeBron could ruin Space Jam, but he’s got an in with Reese’s as a sponsor.

When I go watch Space Jam: A New Legacy in theaters, whenever that is, I want to channel my inner Kindergartener as a 30-something while I devour a huge vat of popcorn and wash it down with some LeBron James sponsored Sprite. Yes, I wanna a Sprite, as that’s part of the movie-going experience. If I can have some LeBron James sponsored Reese’s as well, then I’ll be in heaven.

While we should expect James to do whatever he pleases on his new cinematic masterpiece, jerseys and all, I have one and only one request: Do NOT have someone do a cover of Quad City DJ’s “Space Jam”. Nobody else should be allowed to welcome me to the Space Jam than the same people who also told me to ride the train back in ’94. It will not tolerate any other nonsense.

Though we will know if James wins his fourth NBA championship with his third different team by the time Space Jam: A New Legacy comes out, we better believe Reese’s will be the official candy of the film. Unless you have a peanut allergy or don’t care for chocolate, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup are the most spectacular candy imaginable, even if you get a little bit of one stuck to the film.

LeBron will laugh at himself, while he cashes another fat check from Reese’s in the bank.
