1. Logan Ryan

With a reported $10 million asking price, at least when dealing with the Miami Dolphins, it’s not too shocking that Ryan got very little serious interest on the free agent market. A cornerback by trade, and listed as such, he has let teams know he considers himself a safety.

Ryan primarily played in the slot for Tennessee last year, but he has lined up in multiple spots throughout his career. Last season, he posted 113 total tackles (73 solo) with four interceptions and 4.5 sacks (eight quarterback hits). Over the last two seasons, he has 8.5 sacks with 13 quarterback hits.

The Brown have also gotten a little thin at cornerback. Greedy Wiliams suffered an injury of his own on Monday, which led to him being checked out by trainers on the sideline. Terrance Mitchell (undisclosed) sat out Monday’s practice. M.J. Stewart was seen with his left leg heavily wrapped on Monday. And the uncertain status of Kevin Johnson (lacerated liver) can’t be forgotten.

Ryan is a easy fit for the Browns, with his versatility firmly in mind as their secondary needs reinforcements across the board. With ample cap space remaining ($40.066 million), they could even pay him pretty handsomely.
