NBA DFS guard plays

It has been quite a series for Donovan Mitchell and Jamal Murray. They have accounted four all four 50+ point playoff games this season. I expect more fireworks tonight and you really can’t go wrong with either one of them. I’m going to have a few lines with both of them in it. I expect this game to be a thriller yet again and should be where most of our NBA DFS plays come from.

Fred VanVleet racked up 40 fantasy points on Sunday despite going 3-16 from the floor. VanVleet wont have many poor shooting nights like that. It also means that 40 might be his floor. He’s a great investment for the price if you are looking to move off of Mitchell or Murray.

Kemba is in playoff form after Boston brought him along slowly in the seeding games. I prefer him over either Toronto guard right now. The ceiling on VanVleet is higher, but Walker is more of a sure thing. Marcus Smart remains the wild card with Hayward out.

Mike Conley doesn’t have huge upside with Mitchell going nuts, but he is a strong cash game play right now. He has at least 33 fantasy points in all four games of this series in which he has played.

Jordan Clarkson is always a risk because he is only a scorer, but his price remains low enough on both sites that he’s worth using. The ceiling is high and the floor is low. That’s pretty much the definition of a GPP play.

I wouldn’t go any lower than Clarkson at guard. Monte Morris is always tempting, but he doesn’t have more than 20 fantasy points since Game 1 when Murray was out. He’s too big of a risk here.
