51. Los Angeles Rams. 1. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. NFC West.

Blake Bortles isn’t a great quarterback, but him backing up Jared Goff last year was an ideal situation for the Rams, as he would be a cut above most back-ups in the league,

However, Bortles was not retained for 2020, leaving a former AAF standout in John Wolford and an undrafted free agent in former Virginia star Bryce Perkins in the race to be Goff’s backup. Considering Goff’s regression last year, a better failsafe is needed.

Rosen is a southern California kid who starred in Los Angeles as a Bruin in college. Not only could returning home help him really start to put it all together at the professional level, but he will be able to throw to one of the best collections of wide receivers in the league.

Having his game dissected by one of the league’s best offensive minds in former NFC Champion Sean McVay rather than a first-year defensive head coach should also help Rosen show off all the talent that was on display at UCLA. Should Goff falter and/or get hurt, McVay can breathe easier knowing he has Rosen.
