5 recently-cut NFL veterans who could help a contender

The trade for Sanu is looking like one of Bill Belichick’s worst moves of all-time. Acquired by New England from the Atlanta Falcons for a second-round pick that eventually became JK Dobbins, Sanu had just 207 receiving yards in eight games, 81 of which came in one game against the Ravens. Sanu’s stock has never been lower, but another contender might be able to capitalize on that and pick him up for a discounted price.
In 2018, Sanu set a new personal best in receiving yards with the Falcons. His ability to go over the middle and churn out tough yards while still maintaining his status as a quality deep threat is still evident, even if he was a square peg that didn’t fit into the round hole New England was trying to force him into. Both rebuilding teams in need of a WR1 and contenders looking for depth can benefit from adding Sanu.
