Start:

Kareem Hunt, CLE, @ BAL

Last season when Kareem Hunt returned, he showed that he would be the far superior pass-catcher compared to Nick Chubb. Considering the Week 1 matchup vs. the powerful Baltimore Ravens, the game script is expected to favor Hunt. Get him out there and enjoy a great week as the Browns try to keep up.

Jonathan Taylor, IND, @ JAX

The Indianapolis Colts traded up to get what many believed to be the best RB in the 2020 NFL Draft in Jonathan Taylor. It would be criminal for them to not run him until he at least gets the first touchdown of his career. Jacksonville seems to be the perfect opponent to allow that.

Tarik Cohen, CHI, @ DET

David Montgomery will more than likely be a game-time decision come Sunday, meaning he should be expected to be featured in a limited role (if at all). That means Tarik Cohen should be a major part of the Bears game plan and his worth the spot start this week.

Sit:

Melvin Gordon, DEN, vs. TEN

Melvin Gordon has been dealing with a rib injury for the past few weeks. Add in the fact that no one is for sure how Gordon and Phillip Lindsay will share the ball and it’s worth skipping out on for the time being.

Cam Akers, LAR, vs. DAL

There hasn’t been anything more frustrating than trying to figure out who will start Week 1 for the Los Angeles Rams at running back. Most would expect Cam Akers but Malcolm Brown is expected to be heavily involved at the very least. Put him on the bench until he establishes himself during in-game action.

Devin Singletary, BUF, vs. NYJ

The small Devin Singletary is going to have a role for the Buffalo Bills this season but against the New York Jets, who were surprisingly good at stopping the run last season, expect him to underperform to the point where he should be a flex at best.
