NBA DFS picks September 8: Can Middleton save the Bucks again?
By Mike Marteny
NBA DFS forward plays:
I think I’m all in on Middleton as well. If Giannis is still bothered by the ankle as he was in Game 4, it’s going to take another monster from Middleton to keep the Bucks in it. I’ve been higher on Middleton the whole series. That doesn’t change tonight.
LeBron and A.D. combined for almost 125 fantasy points between the two of them. They are worth the price, but I tend to think Middleton provides more bang, but only if Giannis is limited. I’m still running a Lakers stack. I figured LeBron would come up big after a disappointing Game 1.
Bam Adebayo has had a big series against the Bucks. It was no different in Game 4. He was the best player on the floor for the Heat. His price is getting up into Davis territory, but his upside might be higher.
To me it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to pay up at center on FanDuel. You can pay for AD on DraftKings, but I prefer to drop down to Brook Lopez on both sites. Even though he has had issues with Bam. BroLo is doing well for himself as far as DFS goes.
The Bucks are having big problems with Jae Crowder. He has 97.25 fantasy points over the last three games. Crowder is nailing triples, grabbing boards, and doing a little of everything else. He’s a great play for the price even if he doesn’t have huge upside.
Jeff Green is almost an afterthought right now. Play P.J. Tucker if you want a Rockets center. Tucker was huge in Game 2. I don’t expect him to shoot that well again, but 40 fantasy point upside for under $5,000 on both sites is GPP gold.
Olynyk did have 12 DraftKings points in just nine minutes, so he’s a decent value play. Danuel House‘s price is low enough again that he has some value if you need punts.
I’m going heavy on Middleton and Rondo and running one Lakers stack. The rest will be filled with overachievers from the weekend.
