Nobody is under more pressure this season than Allen. The Buffalo Bills are AFC East favorites, have a terrific roster and fans starved for success. If Allen holds them back, he’ll be in hot water. The completion rate and YPA must drastically improve. For now, he ranks here due to his penchant for big plays and mobility.

Garoppolo is fine when the running games humming and he can create off play-action. Luckily for him, Kyle Shanahan’s offense is perfect for his limited skill set. The 49ers can’t rely on Garoppolo to win games consistently, but he’ll manage them to wins.

Who is the real Goff? Last year, Goff regressed from MVP candidate to middling starter once the offensive line declined and Todd Gurley became a paperweight. Unfortunately for Goff, the Rams didn’t upgrade the line and are relying significantly on rookies Cam Akers and Van Jefferson to produce.

Can Tannehill repeat his success in Tennessee after what was a magical year? Frankly, it was a stark outlier compared to his time with the Miami Dolphins. If the small sample proves the new trend, Tannehill will be a top-10 quarterback this season.

Nothing but upside with Murray. The Arizona Cardinals landed DeAndre Hopkins this offseason and with a year of experience for both Murray and head coach Kliff Kingsbury, there’s reason for ample optimism. Murray projects as a darkhorse MVP candidate.
