The 20-year-old winger is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s biggest target before the trade deadline.

It’s been a quiet trade season for Manchester United. But according to ESPN, the Reds are making progress on their biggest target ahead of the Oct. 5 trade deadline.

Jadon Sancho is a 20-year-old winger who plays for Borussia Dortmund and the English national team. United has had their eyes locked on him, but they’ve hit some stumbling blocks in negotiations with his current club.

The German side values Sancho at 120 million Euros, which Manchester United had previously said was “unrealistic.” However, the latest sources suggest that the Reds are offering a structured deal that will come close to that amount.

The two sides have until Oct. 5 to work out an arrangement, but both sides now appear confident that will happen.

What does Jadon Sancho add to Manchester United?

Jadon Sancho is a versatile player, who played in every position behind the striker during his last season with Borussia Dortmund. He had 17 goals and 16 assists in the Bundesliga last season, making him the third-highest goal-scorer and second-highest assist-leader.

Despite his youth, Sancho is known for creating good chances and is a go-to player in Dortmund’s attack.

The only other signing Manchester United has during this trade-window is Donny van de Beek, a midfielder who joined United from Ajax for 40 million pounds. Van de Beek is also a versatile midfielder but tends to play in a central attacking position. He has been on international duty with the Netherlands for the UEFA Nation’s League but made his first appearance at Manchester United’s training on Wednesday.
