Alexander Radulov’s quick overtime winner lifts Stars over Golden Knights in Game 3 (Video)

Alexander Radulov scored the winning goal in 31 seconds to give the Dallas Stars a Game 3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights.

It took just over half a minute for the Dallas Stars to end overtime on Thursday night against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Alexander Radulov picked up the puck on the right and fired a shot into the top left corner of the goal to deliver the victory, sending his team into ecstasy.

Hitting the back of the net with 31 seconds on the clock, it became the second-fastest foal in overtime for Dallas in history. The first was a 22-second goal by Steve Payne in 1981’s Quarterfinals, per NHL PR.

Alexander Radulov produced yet another late winner for the Stars.

The quick overtime goal was the fourth game-winner for Radulov this postseason, according to Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio.

After delivering an overtime goal in Game 4 against the Flames, he did it again to give the Stars a 2-1 advantage over the Golden Knights in the Western Conference Final.

Dallas got on the board first when Jamie Oleksiak broke the deadlock in the waning seconds of the second period.

While the first two periods were relatively quiet affairs, the third featured fireworks. Shea Theodore scored on a power play to draw Vegas level at 1-1 early in the period.

A few minutes later, another Jamie came through for the Stars. This time it was Jamie Benn who put one through the goaltender’s legs to put Dallas back on top.

The Golden Knights didn’t give up. Review determined Alex Tuch’s long-range effort was a good goal despite claims of interference.

With the game locked at 2-2, the two teams prepared for overtime. Vegas never got the chance to respond to Radulov’s goal, which ended the game.

The Stars and Golden Knights will square off next on Saturday night with Dallas looking to claim an even tighter grip on the series.
