Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Football Team, 1:00 pm

Eagles: Philadelphia’s offensive line got bad news twice this offseason with right guard Brandon Brooks and left tackle Andre Dillard going down. Veteran Jason Peters is back at left tackle and the Eagles will have to try and protect Carson Wentz from Chase Young and company. The young quarterback was sacked 37 times in 2019.

Washington: Ron Rivera is the franchise’s newest head coach and the first order of business for the former Carolina Panthers’ sideline boss is snapping a 10-game losing streak to division rivals. That includes six in a row to the Philadelphia Eagles, who Washington scored exactly 27 points on twice this past season and still couldn’t win.

Los Angeles Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals, 4:05 pm

Chargers: The team’s defensive unit had its ups and downs this past season, missing standout safety Derwin James for the majority of the year. Now the 2018 All-Pro is out again indefinitely. Can this unit take advantage of Bengals’ rookie quarterback Joe Burrow’s inexperience? The Bolts managed an NFL-low 14 takeaways in ‘19.

Bengals: No team allowed more yards per game on the ground a year ago than the Bengals, who will be getting a heavy dose of Chargers’ running backs Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson (if healthy) in this season opener. Cincinnati defenders have allowed at least 100 yards rushing in 38 of their last 64 contests dating back to ’18.
