1. The Seattle Seahawks could run into trouble in Atlanta

It’s hard to bet against a team starting Russell Wilson at quarterback but the Seahawks could have some issues in Atlanta. Wilson has kept Seattle in contention for the past several years as the team has transitioned away from the Legion of Boom defense, but their Week 1 matchup against the Falcons is trickier than it appears on paper.

Atlanta was abysmal to start 2019, going 1-7 to start the year, which led to speculation that head coach Dan Quinn could be fired before the season was over. The team responded nicely, going 6-2 down the stretch to salvage a 7-9 finish.

That run included wins over the Saints and 49ers, and it is important to remember that Atlanta still has a ton of talent on this team. Matt Ryan is a former MVP who throws to one of the best receivers in the league in Julio Jones and they are two of the key components from the core of a roster that was a quarter away from a Super Bowl title four years ago.

Seattle is favored by just a point and a half in this game and it will be interesting to see how their secondary matches up with the speedy Falcons’ offense inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This game is going to come down to the wire and the Seahawks could leave with a loss if they aren’t careful.
