3. James White (NE)

Game: Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots (Sunday, 9/13,1:00pm EST)

You will want to ensure your league is full-point PPR before fully fall in love with this sleeper. James White has the potential to be PPR sleeper gold in any given week (at least when Tom Brady was around).

White will now receive short passes from Cam Newton at Foxborough, and Newton is familiar with dumping off the ball to tailbacks (see: Christian McCaffrey in Carolina). Newton will be looking for new safety nets, and White is just that.

Additionally, the Dolphins surrendered the sixth-most rushing yards in 2019 and seventh-most passing yards. The may improve but not that drastically in one game — on the road.

4. Marlon Mack (IND)

Game: Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday, 9/13,1:00pm EST)

Marlon Mack is a fantasy football befuddlement. He’s usually not prolific enough to start every week, but it feels like a waste to let him accumulate points on your bench. He’s a steady running back, through and through.

The problem is that the Colts drafted rookie halfback, Jonathan Taylor, in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. Taylor is going to play. But when? Is Week 1 too soon?

Regardless, Jacksonville’s run defense was an embarrassment in 2019. It figures to be even worse now that Calais Campbell plays in Baltimore and Yannick Ngakoe was traded to the Vikings.

Mack should be a respectable Week 1 insertion into your lineup.
