College football DFS wide receiver picks September 12:
Top Tier:
I expect Rattler to hook up with Charleston Rambo early and often in this one, but honestly, Tutu Atwell has much higher upside. I expect Western Kentucky to hang around for awhile. If they do, Atwell could be in for a monster. I don’t see that upside with Rambo.
Joshua Moore, who was suspended all of last year, will immediately step into a big role with Duvernay and Johnson both playing on Sundays and with Jake Smith out. He wont have a monster against UTEP, but in a PPR format like DraftKings, he’s got nice upside in case Texas leaves him in there for a while after the starters depart.
I see no reason to pay up for a Texas Tech receiver in this one. It’s going to be a blowout and the ball will be spread around even more if T.J. Vasher can’t play because of academics. Throw a dart with a cheap one and hope for the best.

Middle Tier:
Michigan transfer Tarik Black could be in for an even bigger game than Moore. Texas wants both of them to get used to this offense, so I see both getting good reps.
Stephon Robinson had just scratched the surface of what he could do in last year’s CCU game. He finished off the season with a string of seven straight games in double digit fantasy points. He could be in for another big one here. Andrew Parchment is an excellent play for the price as well.
If Western Kentucky has any chance of hanging around Louisville again this year, they need another strong game from Jahcour Pearson. He’s reasonably priced considering he’s a strong threat for double digit fantasy points.
Bargain Shoppers:
I really like Nevada transfer McLane Mannix on the cheap here for Texas Tech. They are going to be thinner at WR than most think. Mannix was buried on the depth chart last year. That may be the case again this year, but it shouldn’t be for this game.
Ben Ratzlaff hit triple digits in the opener and Jerreth Sterns caught double digit passes. Houston Baptist is going to throw a ton again. They are both way too cheap on DraftKings again.
Wake Forest has two co-starters at WR at just a shade over $4,000. Clemson’s defense is very good, but Wake is going to throw a lot. I like both of them for dart throws here.
